The Australian Institute of Pharmacognosy undertakes plant surveys on a regular basis. Plants of interest located and identified by our team are shown below. Our early records (2023) are from south-east Queensland. Since January 2026, field surveys have also covered north Queensland, around Cardwell and the wet tropics.
Please enjoy these plants where they grow. Photograph them rather than pick them: many native plants are protected in Queensland, and taking them can require a permit.
